I have arrived in Buenos Aires! The flight was real easy, I took an Ambien and slept the entire way! I woke up to the beauty of the sky and clouds overlooking Brazil then on into Argentina. The lands are flat and it reminds me of overlooking the Central Valley, like Salinas. Its pretty cold here but nothing I can't handle. I'm glad to be getting away from the heat in Sacramento. Sitting and chatting with Cristian, my wonderful roommate, shows how hard it is to continuously speak in Spanish. But I know that it will make me a better speaker, eventually fluent. Cristian is the nicest roommate anyone could ask for. He made me lunch and is going to show me the city in a bit after I rest. The apartment is so cute and I have already set up my room. I'm living next to beautiful parks and the subway. Wow, now its hard to think in English after speaking Spanish for so long. Well, I love you all and hope all is going well. I miss you too! Tonight we are going to go dancing. I can show off my American no-rhythm moves.
Chau amores!

Lucky girl! Falling asleep on the plane is something I can never do :( It really sucks on the way to Japan since it is a 13 hour flight! Uuugh!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like everything started GREAT for you, nice and smooth :) Sometimes things will go wrong, just like they do here, but it will all work out I'm sure and the good will out weigh everything to a HUGE degree. You're likely to end up like me, having two places you consider "home."
Have a great first week!
