Today, I went to the San Telmo fair, it's something that the city has every Sunday and its huge with lots of little stands where people sell things. There was a part where people were selling things that were antiques and this part was great! I took some great photos that can be seen at my photobucket site. There was one photo that I took that was funny, someone was selling money from different countries and one was of Evita Peron, the countries national treasure and then right below it was money with a picture of Saddam Hussein on it, kinda an odd pairing. Anyway, then we went to this place called a Parilla where they serve meat that's barbequed among other things. Me, Nicole, and a Columbian named Diego, shared a helping of meat that said for 2 to 3 but really could've fed the whole table! Anyway, they brought out the barbequed meat and it was an assortment of chicken and various parts of the cow. Well, I was a sport and tried everything, but I will say that I didn't like the majority, it was a required taste. I tried tripe, cow intenstine, blood sausage, and kidney. The ones I liked were chorizo, chicken, and regular old steak, old that other stuff I will leave for the Argentines. I wished I could like it but it was just too much meat for me. But what I did like is Chimichuri sauce and Criollo sauce, two sauces that you put on top of the meat to enhance the flavor, very delicioso! Anyway, then we walked around the whole part of San Telmo and I bought some earrings for diez pesos. What a deal! They are very cute, very rasta or Latin American. Then we went to the Plaza De Mayo and took the subte home. Tonight, I'm returing back to this same area to meet an Argentine friend at a bar to watch a band. We aren't meeting until 1130 and I hope I can make it. I'm so exhausted! Tomorrow I start school but not until 5 pm so I should go, atleast make an appearance. I want to make Argentine friends and if I tell her I'm too tired she might think I'm flaking. Anyway, I'm going to close my eyes for a minute so I can rest for tonight. I will write about my first day at school tomorrow night, I don't get done until 7pm my time (3pm California time).
Well, I missssssssssss you alllllllll so much! Visitanme en pronto! Chau chau!
Besos
