Well, last night I finally got a good nights sleep. It seems here that I sleep well all week long and then boom Thursday through Sunday, my sleep pattern gets all turned upside down. O well, do as the Romans do. Anyway, I slept great and I'm working on my homework in the apartment today. It was a pretty relaxing day. Since I feel so rested, I'm making dinner for Cristian and Tito tonight, unfortunately in a city that never sleeps, Sundays are the worst days to try and go shopping at the market. Either everything closes early or isn't open at all. I wanted to make this asparagus salad, the one that we had at my going away party, but I couldn't find all the ingredients. Instead, I'm going to make a sun dried tomato pasta with baked asparagus and garlic. A vegetarian dinner yay! I like that the guys like eating healthy and lots of dishes that don't have a lot of meat or no meat. It works out great for me. So, as I was saying, I had a hard time trying to find asparagus but I ended up finding it as this Supermercado called Jumbo, o my god this place is huge! It's like a mix of wal-mart, costco, and home depot all in one place. It was crazy and overpriced but I was only buying a few things so it didn't really matter and they accept VISA yay! Since I don't have my debit card, I have been having to be really thrifty. But I am usually pretty thrifty as it is anyway. So, I found out about JUMBO because I went to the usually market we go to to get veggies and fruits and asked the guy for help that works there. They were closed but he was more than happy to help me find someplace that had everything I needed. Unfortunately, as soon as I started being friendly and telling him where I was from, he started getting weird and flirty. He was probably in his 60s and asked me, o do you have a boyfriend in Argentina, I started to walk off and said gracias chau chau. O my gosh! Why always the old men after me? haha! Anyway, so then I ran over to the Jumbo place and got the ingredients for the dinner I'm making tonight. Then I got home and now I'm working on my homework. My Argentine friends invited me to Cordoba for the long weekend we have coming up. If we go, we are staying in the house of a guy named Coco, very nice person, buena onda. We will stay there from Friday-Monday. How fun! Then on Wednesday, we're going to a disco and I'm going to cook for my Argentine friends at my friend Marin's house. I'm going to make drunken chicken a la mi abuela again. I know, all we do here is eat, drink, and go out haha! But this place is the place to come if you value friends and spending time with people and making new friends and so on and so forth. These people are going to hopefully be my friends for life, they all have great hearts and are very welcoming. Well, I best be off to finish my homework. I'm reading for my clase de Tradiciones y Culturas Argentinas. Chau chau bellas.
