So I got my package that my mom sent me. Cristian and I went down to the post office yesterday to get it and waited 3 hours for them to bring it down. The reason: well, no offense to the Argentine society but their postal service system is unorganized. They call out numbers and don't help you and so on and so forth. Anyway, they mixed up our number by one number and we kept asking where my package was because we had waited so long. They continued to say it hasn't been retrieved from above and blah blah blah. Anyway, so my package had been called hours before and we didn't know because our number was one number off. Its a six digit number and we had a nine at the end instead of an eight. Well, that was miserable but then I got home late and ran to the gym for a pilates class and then indoor cycling, which I love!!!! Then afterward, I headed to a dinner party for a girl from Germany who is going back home next week. I went to her bosses house who is from Germany as well. Wow, this apartment was magnificent! It was so big and had the greatest view of the city, and best thing: I didn't have to take a cab because it was within walking distance! This is a bonus because my ATM card had an unforseen problem with the flight, so its arriving on Monday. So this weekend, I have to be a bit thrifty because I am without money. Cristian loaned me 100 pesos for just in case situations. He is so sweet! I really feel bad about him giving me money but I will pay him back the second I get my ATM card in the mail, which hopefully will be Monday! So at the dinner party, I met the Germans and the Argentines who speak both Spanish and German, what a mix! I was speaking with a German who has lived here for 3 years now and I was telling him about my roommates. He said I speak English as well if you want to speak English, so I started but then ended up forgetting how to say things in English and returned back to speaking Spanish. He laughed at me and said "Don't forget your motherland!" It was a great time. Anyway, after the dinner party, we went to this bar in Palermo, which is in my neighborhood and danced and had a great time. I went to my friend's house, Marin, and spent the night afterwards. Tonight, we are going to meet up for a movie night with pizza because we are a bit tired from the night before. Today, I'm just hanging around the house and studying for my class on Latin American Literature. I'm reading "El Matadero" por Esteban Echeverria, its quite interesting. Its about Buenos Aires and how the city didn't used to eat meat because of their religion but then everyone was starving so the Matadero was summoned by the leader of the next party the Federalistas (Rosas) to start slaughtering the cattle. Well, its an interesting story with lots of vocabulary that I have to look up a lot! Haha. Anyway, all is well, and all will be better when I get my ATM card! I love you all!!! Chau chau

O PS. on Thursday I went to a kareoke bar with my Argentine friend Ivanna, and it was amazing! They sang Argentine songs, US Pop music, and then made me sing "like a virgin"haha but I made them help me! How embarrasing! haha
